Everything You Need to Know About The Lego Batman

Just when you thought that the Lego company had exhausted their potential with superhero merchandise mixed with good ol' building blocks, along came The Lego Movie which was, simply put, awesome. It was enjoyable to see our favorite childhood toys weave a story on screen and see some of our favorite pop culture icons being a part of it. There is no surprise that the audience was not satisfied with just one movie and who better to carry a movie on his shoulders other than Batman. After the Nolan series and the recent Batman v Superman, Batman has been portrayed as a very dark character. If you ever wondered what would happen if Batman was a comedy movie, this movie is the answer to that one.

Will Arnett reprises his role as the voice of Batman who is guided by Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) into taking up more responsibilities rather than just being Batman. You see Batman doing everything from throwing a tantrum to beat boxing, things you don't imagine the Dark Knight doing in his life as a superhero. The Justice League and other Batman villains also make an appearance along with a range of hilarious Bat-vehicles. If you are an ardent fan you will not miss references to the previous version of live-action adaptations (including the infamous ones). Also, the password to the Bat Cave is something you should hear for believing it.

Although four trailers have been released with some hilarious sequences, there seems to be a lot more in store for the fans.Joker (Zach Galifianakis) seems to be the main villain and we can't wait for him to wreak havoc in a city, which is quirky in its own way. The movie is directed by Chris McKay who had worked on the editing table for The Lego Movie. This movie is also a first for Warner Animation Group, which is a new segment of Warner Brothers. If this becomes a hit, there are talks of all those Warner toons coming back as movies. Like Everything is Awesome was the theme song for The Lego Movie, the theme for this movie seems to be Black and Yellow by Wiz Khalifa. It matches perfectly with the whole theme and Batman couldn't have had a cooler theme song. On 10th February, Batman is all set to hit the theatres near you in a new avatar.
Have you seen all the trailers yet? If you haven't, catch them below and watch this space for the review of the movie.
